How does the deck wizard work?

The deck wizard reads your card collection from your player tag and looks for the best real decks you can build with it. Every deck it shows is one players actually use, with its own win rate and number of games, and every card in it is one you own at the level you ask for, with its Evolution or Hero only when you have it unlocked. Same idea as the Deck Wizard in Clash Royale, with more behind it: the win rate and games of every deck, the decks a few upgrades away and what they cost, and cards you can pin or leave out.

Real decks, not generated ones

Nothing here is invented. The wizard ranks the decks players actually use, by a win rate weighted by how many games back it up, and keeps only the ones your collection can field.

Your level, your call

It starts one level below your king tower, and you can move it either way. A card below it still counts when you already hold the copies to upgrade it, with the gold that costs shown under each deck. Every card shows your level on it.

A few steps away

Below the main list are strong decks one, two or three steps away: a card still below your level, an Evolution or Hero to unlock, or a card you do not have yet. Each upgrade shows the copies you still need to find and the gold it costs.

Questions people ask

Is this the Deck Wizard from Clash Royale?

Not the one in the game, but the same idea with more data behind it. Every deck comes from real battles of the last two weeks and shows its win rate and number of games, decks one to three upgrades away are listed with the copies and gold they still need, and you can pin a card or leave cards out. It runs in the browser, so you can try it before you open the game.

How does the deck wizard pick the best deck for my cards?

It takes the most successful decks of the last two weeks, from Ladder games around your best trophies and, from 10,000 trophies, Path of Legends, and drops every one that needs a card you do not own, a card below your chosen level, or an Evolution or Hero you have not unlocked. Decks that use the most of your Evolutions and Heroes come first, and within them the ones with the best win rate over the most games.

What does "Count cards I can upgrade" do?

A card below your minimum level would rule out every deck it is in. With this on, which it is from the start, it counts as long as you have enough copies to upgrade it to that level, and the deck shows which cards need the upgrade and the gold it costs. Your gold balance is not public, so the wizard cannot check that part.

Why does a new account get different decks?

Until 1,000 trophies the decks built from the first cards of the game, like Giant, Musketeer and Mini PEKKA, are the ones that win in your arenas, so the wizard shows them. Past that they are left out: their high win rates come from those first arenas, against players as new as you were, and say little about the deck.

Can I build a deck around a card I like?

Yes. Click a card once to pin it and every deck shown will have it. Click it again to leave it out instead.

Why are Evolutions missing from my results?

A deck with an Evolution or a Hero only shows when you have that variant unlocked, since that is the version it was played with and its win rate belongs to. A deck one variant short is listed below the main list, with the card to unlock.

What if I can unlock another Evolution or Hero?

Turn on "I can unlock more" and set how many. The wizard then also shows decks with that many Evolutions or Heroes you do not have yet, on any card you own, and names the ones to unlock.
